Patricia Stankovic, UW-Madison alumna, Author, Promising Young Man (under the pen name Elias Axel); Boys Named Sue (JWC Media); co-creator/producer documentary-short film, The Making of a Dream (Trinley Productions).
Her debut novel, Promising Young Man, is intergenerational coming-of-age (contemporary realistic fiction with elements of humor) about a boy who's afraid to become a man and his Grammy who's tired of living someone else's life.
Written from the perspective of an 18-year-old-boy, the story addresses themes of self-acceptance, teen & senior citizen loneliness, & finding purpose, and sub-themes of intergenerational family issues and ADHD.
